Every week in Australia, three children die from cancer. That’s why our Partner Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation are getting people together, to lace up those sneakers and Walk for Kids with Cancer.

Every year, more than 1000 families in Australia receive the devastating news their child or adolescent has cancer and right now, there are hundreds of children going through their toughest times across Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network.

That’s why the walk is so important. Whether you’re a sprinter, a stroller, or a moonwalker, every step you take is walking beside kids with cancer, helping continue the extraordinary care they receive, now and into the future.

This year’s Walk for Kids with Cancer will take place in Sydney on Sunday 24 March 2024.

AND you get to choose your own adventure:

Take on the Changemaker Trail, a challenging 24km walk from the historic Rocks in Sydney CBD, through the beautiful suburbs and bushland of the Northern Beaches. You’ll see the very best views across Sydney Harbour before you complete your Walk for Kids with Cancer in Balgowlah Heights.

Or walk the Middle Distance, a 10km Walk for Kids with Cancer, starting at Middle Head. You’ll take in the most beautiful parts of the Northern Beaches, before you reach the finish line with the best views in the city at Balgowlah Heights.

There’ll be snacks and refreshments along the way, and you’ll get a goodie bag packed with freebies.

It’ll be a great day out – but the walk is so much more than that. By taking part, the money you raise could help power groundbreaking research to help sick kids fight cancer. It can also help fund state-of-the-art medical equipment, and support programs like music therapy to keep kids’ spirits up while they’re receiving treatment across Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network.
