Little Ballers

Little Ballers is our introduction to movement, play and basketball for the youngest members of the Spiders community. Designed for children aged 3–5 years, the program focuses on fun, coordination and confidence through engaging games and basic basketball activities.

Sessions help young athletes develop fundamental movement skills such as running, jumping, balance and ball control, all in a safe and supportive environment. With plenty of smiles, encouragement and active play, Little Ballers is the perfect first step into sport while building a love for being active and part of the Spiders family.

Aussie Hoops

Basketball Australia’s Ford Aussie Hoops is the official introductory basketball program for children aged 5–10 years, designed to give young players their first experience in the game in a fun, safe and inclusive environment.

Through engaging activities, skill challenges and modified games, participants learn the fundamentals of basketball — including dribbling, passing, shooting and teamwork — while building confidence and developing a love for the sport. The nationally developed curriculum ensures sessions are age-appropriate and progressively prepare players for the next step into local competitions and development programs.

Aussie Hoops is the perfect starting point for young athletes beginning their basketball journey and becoming part of the Spiders community.

Spiders Development Program (SDP)

The SDP provides a fun, supportive and high-quality learning environment for young athletes to build confidence, develop fundamental skills and foster a love for the game. This is perfect for players wanting to take their game to the next level and wanting to try out for representative basketball down the line.
