As you are aware we lease venues for all our games. Every venue has its own rules and conditions of entry. Please ensure you abide by venue rules or we risk losing the use of these venues.
ROSEWOOD PAVILION (Barker College Hornsby, Unwin Rd)
- No access to school prior to 5:50pm. THIS INCLUDES THE CAR PARK. Please park on the street prior to this time. Do not wait in the carpark entrance whilst the boom gate is down as traffic is already very heavy on that street. Barker Staff still require access to and from their carpark. Nobody should be entering car park or be on school grounds prior to 5:50pm. We do not have access to courts until 6pm.
- Unless a HKBA Supervisor is present nobody should be in the venue.
- All spectators must stay on the mezzanine level. Please do not wait around the stairs by the courts as this is a pedestrian thoroughfare
- No food may be brought in or eaten whilst HKBA are leasing the venue.
THE LIGHT OF CHRIST CENTRE (end of Yardley Ave Waitara)
- STREET PARKING ONLY. If you continue to park on school grounds we will lose this venue. The cleaners are not able to let you out of school grounds, and a call-out fee will apply to those parents who continue to flout the venue rules
- No access to stage, chairs or equipment.
- There is limited room at the side of courts for spectators: if the mezzanine is available please proceed upstairs, otherwise watch from the verandah.
- Only the one accessible bathroom (near internal stairs, opposite the stage) is to be used whilst HKBA are running the activities.
- As this is a residential area, please be mindful of noise when leaving the premises.
- DO NOT PARK infront of the black gates leading to the oval. This is access for emergency vehicles and must be kept clear at all times.
ABBOTSLEIGH SPORTS PRECINCT (via Gate 1A, Ada Avenue Wahroonga)
- No entry to courts unless a HKBA Supervisor is present. You should wait outside in the carpark until a Supervisor is present and has set up the courts.
- If all the seats are taken up inside, there is room for more spectators upstairs in the mezzanine overlooking the courts
The HKBA website is where you will find all information regarding our activities, including competition rules/by-laws and venue restrictions. You SHOULD NOT rely on BasketballConnect for anything other than game times during the season. It is the parents/guardians responsibility to be aware of all rules and by-laws of the competition your child is participating in.
Thank you for your help in allowing us continued access to the wonderful venues we use. Without them we would be unable to provide the services you or your children are enjoying.
