It is our pleasure to extend an invitation to the 2026 Annual General Meeting of Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Basketball Association Inc., which will be held on Wednesday 24 June 2026.

About this year’s AGM administration
For this year’s AGM Notice, you may note that it comes from Basketball NSW (BNSW). In their capacity as the State Sporting Organisation for basketball in NSW, BNSW offers administrative services in support of affiliated associations. For this year’s AGM, BNSW have been engaged by the HKBA Board to undertake and administer the AGM on their behalf. This is a process BNSW undertake regularly for their member associations.

Board Director Elections
For the upcoming AGM, there will be five (5) elected Director positions up for election, 1 position for treasurer and four (4) elected Director position. This
year, we have received one (1) nomination for treasurer and four (4) nominations for Elected Directors. All nominations and full information regarding each nominee, which includes biography and statement, can be found in this Notice of Meeting. You will be asked to vote for or against each nominee at the meeting.

How the 2026 AGM works and what’s new this year
To ensure maximum participation in this year’s AGM, we are introducing some changes to how it will be run, including:

  • Online voting: Members are able to vote via Election Runner, which is a secure online voting system.
  • Early voting: Voting will start seven (7) days prior to the AGM. If you cannot attend the AGM on the day, then you can vote early through Election Runner.
  • Hybrid AGM: Members have the ability to join the meeting either in-person or online.
